Covelong Point is the first Surfing village of its kind in India located in Kovalam, Tamil Nadu. This is a story of a local fisherman Murthy, who with a will to learn, picked up the art of surfing giving hope to a new generation in South East India.
Little did the locals in the village know that their relationship with the sea, would soon change forever thanks to this man's efforts. The Social Surf School was established in the latter half of 2012 against the backdrop of an ancient, incredible but simple culture.
Sportsphere intends to assist Murthy in nurturing this awakening of a new surfing Culture across the Country.
